What is Autonomic Response Technique?

The Autonomic Response Technique (ART) is a subset of Energy Medicine. The body can be assessed to see which organ systems are out of balance and what is causing those imbalances. This is done using a sophisticated form of muscle testing or Kinesiology. It is similar to Traditional Chinese Medicine or TCM in that it assesses the body from an energetic standpoint, but is different in that it does not involve the placement of acupuncture needles.

Autonomic Response Testing is a system of evaluation and treatment developed by Dietrich Klinghardt, MD, Ph.D., and Louisa Williams, DC, ND. Autonomic Response Testing uses muscle testing through biofeedback of the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) to determine disturbances and potential remedies. Autonomic Response Testing is a Functional Assessment used by the Holistic/ Integrative Doctor, to determine bodily function (or dysfunction), not specific diseases. Dr. Klinghardt blended the muscle testing of American Applied Kinesiology with the understanding of the anatomy and physiology of German Neural Therapy to develop Autonomic Response Testing. The result is a highly structured and sophisticated muscle testing biofeedback system designed to give reliable and reproducible results. A medical assessment tool (like Autonomic Response Testing) that records generalized and localized ANS disturbance can be helpful in determining the root causes of health disturbances. Autonomic Response Testing grew out of the importance of detecting and correcting problems of the autonomic nervous system. Autonomic Response Testing allows the doctor to correct the problems of the ANS and to help restore the self-regulating mechanism of the body, allowing the patient to return to a state of health.

What exactly is Energy Medicine?

Energy Medicine is simply another way to assess the complexities of the body by evaluating the status of the nervous system.

How is Autonomic Response Testing different than other forms of muscle testing?

Autonomic Response Testing is different from other forms of muscle testing in that it uses the latest findings of quantum and biophotonic physics to aid in the assessment of the body. This allows for a much deeper level of testing not available before to traditional kinesiologists. Tools such as a polarization filter and signal enhancers are used to get stronger, clearer feedback from the body. Autonomic Response Testing often finds things that are missed with traditional kinesiology. Autonomic Response Testing practitioners in general also have the ability to test for a wider variety of root causes of illness, including specific infections, toxins, and emotional disturbances.

Can Autonomic Response Testing diagnose diseases?

Autonomic Response Testing is used along with traditional tests to determine the root causes of illness. It is not used to diagnose diseases.

How accurate is Autonomic Response testing?

Autonomic Response Testing has been shown to be the most accurate of all kinesiology techniques, with the best reproducibility and inter-examiner reliability.

What Happens During The  First Session?

The body is first scanned for energy blockages or imbalances (a.k.a. interference fields), such as weak organs, scars, structural imbalances such as jaw misalignment, back or disk problems, etc. as well as dental cavitations, bacteria, fungi, viruses, toxins, heavy metals, etc. Then various remedies are applied to correct those imbalances. Allergies to the remedies are ruled out and a herbal/homeopathic protocol is created and tested for efficacy.

How Many Sessions Do I Need?

While most patients benefit from the first session, follow-up sessions (usually about 4 to 6 weeks after the first session) are needed to confirm that your protocol is working. The amount of sessions depends on your compliance with your protocol, diet/exercise/stress reduction techniques, etc. It also depends on the complexity and chronicity of your health issue.

How will this benefit me?

After the first session, most patients gain a deeper understanding of their illness or chronic condition. Once the proper diagnosis is made, a proper plan of action is put into place. Many patients are taken off supplements that are not effective and placed on supplements or herbal protocols that are more effective. In this way, you can see the benefits of your protocol and be reassured that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
