Frequently
Asked Questions

Are you accepting new patients?

Yes!

How do I make an appointment?

You can call our office at (404) 877-2385 or email us at info@treeoflighthealth.com

Do you have a waitlist?

Generally, we are scheduled two to three months in advance with appointments; however, often we are able to get you in earlier than that. Please contact our office for scheduling and availability.

What are your hours?

10 am to 5 pm, Monday – Friday

How much do you charge?

Our fees are typically hourly, with a basic assessment lasting about an hour. However, initial visits can extend to 2-4 hours if dealing with complex issues. Additional costs may include supplements and various lab services, which vary from patient to patient.

Do you take insurance?

Unfortunately, we do not accept insurance at this time; however, for a $50 surcharge, you can be supplied with a super-bill to turn into your insurance after your visit. In addition, some of the labs can billed to your insurance.

Are there any criteria for becoming a patient?

Most of our patients come to us with chronic health challenges and have often consulted primary care physicians, specialists, and explored alternative and holistic approaches. While we recommend exploring these modalities first, it’s not an absolute requirement. What’s essential is your motivation to improve and embrace lifestyle changes.

What do I need to do to get ready for my first appointment?

For your initial appointment, bring past lab results, imaging, doctors’ notes, and your current supplements. Sending this information ahead is helpful. Don’t take non-essential supplements for 12 hours prior (essential meds are fine). Stay hydrated, eat before your visit, and wear comfortable, flat shoes.

I am just seeking help with nutrition and optimal wellness. Do you provide those services?

Yes. We offer advanced nutritional analysis, weight loss, antiaging, and other integrative services.

Do you have a patient portal I can access?

Yes, you’ll have access to an online portal for communication, questionnaires, and uploading lab data. To get access, please provide your date of birth and address for system entry. Filling out the online questionnaire when prompted will aid in your evaluation and streamline your first visit.
At Tree of Light Health, we offer personalized solutions for weight management, including GLP-1 receptor agonists like semaglutide and tirzepatide, as well as natural alternatives. GLP-1, a hormone that regulates appetite, glucose metabolism, and energy balance, is key to these therapies. While medications like semaglutide suppress appetite and enhance satiety, natural options such as probiotics and peptides can also support GLP-1 activity.

To achieve sustainable weight loss, we integrate personalized nutrition, physical activity, gut health optimization, and stress management. For those who prefer non-pharmacological approaches, we create strategies that combine natural supports with holistic care.

Contact us today to explore how we can help you achieve your weight management goals through science-driven and holistic solutions.

We found the key to treatment is identifying and treating the triggers of the Cell Danger Response. Given the fact that there could be many triggers, this is not an easy task. Treating any underlying mast cell disorders is often a key priority. At the same time, supporting various detoxification pathways, supporting methylation, and mental and emotional support are often needed. Various organ systems, such as the adrenals and thyroid, may need to be rebooted and supported. Hormone replacement is often needed.

Treatment

Treating coinfections can result in a dramatic reduction of symptoms and people feel like they have beaten their Lyme disease. In reality, the Lyme infection is likely still present and must be addressed with comprehensive treatment.

While treatment directed at the Lyme bacteria is essential, so are treatments targeted at the coinfections, especially viruses and parasites. Since most patients present with chronic Lyme that has been undiagnosed or untreated for months, years, or decades, lots of time has passed for these infections to take hold in the body. This is one of the primary reasons why recovery from Lyme disease is so tricky. You are not battling one bacteria; you are fighting multiple infections that invade many different body parts.

In summary, Lyme is a very complex and misunderstood illness. We combine the very best functional and integrative approaches to evaluate and treat Lyme and Co-infections.

Some of the potential causes for auto-immunity may include:

Toxins (such as Mercury and Heavy Metals)

Low-grade chronic infections, such as Epstein Barr Virus (EBV)

Stress (including mental and emotional stress)

Leaky Gut Syndrome

And many other stressors…

Often, the source of auto-immunity is Leaky Gut Syndrome, where undigested proteins may be mistaken as foreign. Through molecular mimicry, the body proceeds to attack these proteins, which unfortunately may have a similar structure to proteins that make up the thyroid tissue, resulting in thyroid tissue antibody formation, leading to a condition called Hashimotos Thyroiditis. Similarly, the body may mistakenly attack collagen and produce autoantibodies against its joint tissues, leading to Rheumatoid Arthritis.
